I think this has been one of the best events our company has ever attended. The networking was better than any other event I have ever attended. I am sure the reason for this is that everybody attending was focused on making and doing business. The corporate “speed dating” was a great way to have one-o- one exchanges with many companies whose attention we were able to get only because an event like this. I will definitely plan on being at the next Broadband Exchange.

Over a two day period I engaged in more than a dozen meetings with top companies in the broadband field as a result of the American Israel Chamber of Commerce’s Broadband Exchange. The organizers did a bang-up job. They convinced fairly important executives of companies with businesses involving cable to come to Atlanta. They took great care of Israeli start-ups, assigning each a volunteer facilitator. Uri Rabinerzon of Polycom was ours and he was wise, helpful, and patient. And they kept things organized and moving forward. Everybody had lots of meetings, including some with Atlanta metro boosters, commercial real estate agents, headhunters.

Those guys from the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce are really professional. They put on an event that in format and content is just terrific. It forces meetings between people. It exposes the participants to the technology being developed in Israel. They really go out of their way to help. The venue was very conducive to business. And the amazing thing is that the whole thing is self-funded - the government of Israel does not pay one shekel.
